Structural Requirements and Challenges

To support this goal, Salzgitter Flachstahl GmbH has its own construction department, which is responsible for the planning and implementation of all construction and infrastructure-related activities as part of the SALCOS project.

This department is on its way to successively growing to several hundred employees in order to be able to handle the extensive and complex tasks. With this in mind, the search for a qualified civil engineer (m/f/d) to take over the management of these specific projects was crucial.

Strategy and Implementation

Gebrueder Schwanke Personalberatung developed a comprehensive strategy to find ideal candidates for this key position. With the help of our research team, more than 400 potential candidates were identified from a list of 150 construction companies in the greater Lower Saxony area and contacted directly by telephone by our project managers.

Our Research Team not only uses social media such as Xing and Linkedin, but also relies on comprehensive Internet and targeted telephone research.

Gebrueder Schwanke Personalberatung uses its in-house IT system PCMS for this demanding task. This system, equipped with a modern Kanban structure for process optimization, enabled systematic and agile handling of the search process.

The search led to the successful placement of a civil engineer whose experience and expertise perfectly matched the requirements of the SALCOS project.
